Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback for all ages
A gentle, non-invasive training through which the brain learns to regulate its own activity. We work with babies, children, adolescents, adults and seniors, always starting from a careful assessment.
What is neurofeedback
Sensors placed on the scalp read the brain’s electrical activity, and the brain receives a real-time signal – an image or a sound – that guides it towards a more balanced state. Nothing enters the body and it doesn’t hurt: the brain simply “listens” and gradually adjusts.
BrainMap assessment
A map of brain activity (qEEG) that shows us which areas need support and helps us build a personalised plan.
ILF neurofeedback
Infra-low frequency training that helps the nervous system regulate its level of arousal – neither too “wired” nor too “switched off”.
LENS neurofeedback
A very gentle form of neurofeedback, with stimulation lasting only a few seconds, also suitable for sensitive people, young children or those who have been through trauma.
Depending on the approach chosen, a session lasts from a few seconds up to 30–40 minutes. Neurofeedback can be used on its own or alongside psychotherapy, psychological assessment or psychiatric treatment.
Neurofeedback by age
For little ones
Children’s brains develop and learn very quickly, and neurofeedback makes use of exactly this flexibility. We can work from the first months of life.
When it can help:
- attention and concentration difficulties, ADHD;
- restlessness, impulsivity, emotional outbursts that are hard to manage;
- anxiety, fears, restless sleep;
- learning and language difficulties;
- as support in autism spectrum disorder (ASD);
- tics.
For children, the session feels like play: they watch a cartoon or play a game that responds to their brain activity. With babies and young children we mainly use very short, gentle approaches. Parents are involved throughout and tell us what they notice at home and at school.
For adults and seniors
In adults, neurofeedback helps especially when the nervous system has become “stuck” in a state of alarm or exhaustion.
Adults – when it can help:
- anxiety, panic attacks, chronic stress;
- depression, burnout, chronic fatigue;
- sleep disorders;
- the effects of trauma, alongside psychotherapy (EMDR, NARM);
- concentration and memory difficulties;
- migraines and headaches;
- recovery after brain injury or stroke.
Seniors – as complementary support in:
- Parkinson’s disease;
- dementia and cognitive decline;
- age-related anxiety and depression;
- decline in attention and memory, and sleep disorders.
Sessions are comfortable and require no physical effort.
Neurofeedback and photobiomodulation
Neurofeedback can be combined with transcranial photobiomodulation – non-invasive stimulation with near-infrared light that supports the functioning of nerve cells. Together, the two methods can better support regulation and recovery. Our packages include both options.
What to expect
The first conversation
Tell us what brings you to us and what you’d like to change.
The BrainMap assessment
We map your brain activity. It doesn’t hurt and requires no special preparation.
The personalised plan
Together we choose the type of neurofeedback (ILF or LENS), possibly combined with photobiomodulation, and the number of sessions.
The sessions
After each session we note what has changed and adjust the protocol if needed.

What parents and clients often ask us
How many sessions are needed?
It depends on the person, their age and the goal. A typical programme has between 14 and 20 sessions, once or twice a week. Many people notice the first changes after a few weeks.
Can I continue my medication?
Yes. Neurofeedback does not replace treatment and does not interact with medication. Do not stop or change your medication without your doctor’s approval. Let us know what treatment you are taking, as some medications can influence the training.
Does it have side effects?
It is a safe, non-invasive method. Sometimes, in the first sessions, there may be fatigue, restlessness or changes in sleep. These are temporary, and we adjust the protocol.
Does it work for everyone?
Not everyone responds the same way. It usually becomes clear within the first sessions whether the training is having an effect. If not, we talk openly and look together for another form of support.
