Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy that goes deep
We work with trauma, relationships and the nervous system, not just with symptoms. For adults, couples, families, children and adolescents, in person or online.
“I’ve been to therapy before. It helped… up to a point.”
Ana is 34. She has learned to recognise her negative thoughts, to breathe through moments of panic and to set boundaries. It helped. And yet, in certain relationships, on certain evenings, the same tightness in her chest comes back, as if a part of her never found out that the danger had passed.
Ana’s story is the story of many people who come to us. They have already come a long way, often in a valuable way, but they feel they stopped at the surface: they learned to manage their symptoms without reaching the place those symptoms come from.
Sometimes what we experience today is an old adaptation: a way in which our mind and body once protected us, at a time when we had no other resources. These adaptations do not change through rational understanding alone. They need safety, relationship and time in order to be felt, understood and gradually transformed.
This is what we do at NeuroVia: we move at your pace, but we go deep, to where change can become lasting.
Three principles that guide us
Stability first
We don’t “open up” anything before there is enough safety. The first step is regulation: helping you feel more anchored in the present and in your own body.
Then the causes, not just the symptoms
We work with developmental and relational trauma, with attachment patterns and with early-formed beliefs that continue to shape our lives.
Mind, body and nervous system
Psychotherapy can be complemented by neurofeedback or photobiomodulation, when the nervous system needs extra support to regulate.
The methods we use
Our team is trained in several validated schools of psychotherapy. We don’t follow a recipe; together with you, we choose what suits you best.
Integrative trauma psychotherapy
A framework that integrates several methods for working with complex trauma, in stages: stabilisation, processing and integration.
NARM
The NeuroAffective Relational Model works with early and relational trauma, with attachment patterns and with the way we relate to ourselves.
EMDR
An internationally recognised method for processing traumatic memories so that they lose their emotional charge.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
Helps us understand the link between thoughts, emotions and behaviours and build concrete strategies for change. Also includes rational emotive behaviour therapy (REBT).
Schema therapy
Works with deep patterns formed in childhood (for example abandonment, shame, perfectionism) that repeat themselves in relationships and adult life.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
Especially suited to intense self-criticism and shame: it builds inner safety and a kinder relationship with yourself.
Somatic Experiencing (SE)
A body-based approach to trauma that helps the nervous system gradually release the tension left behind by overwhelming experiences and regain its capacity for self-regulation.
ACT and trauma-sensitive mindfulness
Helps us make room for difficult emotions without being driven by them, and live closer to our own values.
Positive psychodynamic psychotherapy
Connects past, present and future by understanding life experiences and activating each person’s inner resources.
Couples and family therapy
For couples and families who want to understand the dynamics between them and communicate better, from a systemic perspective.
The team is also trained in Ericksonian clinical hypnosis, positive psychotherapy, the Intention Method (IoPT), psychotherapy through relaxation and symbols (autogenic training) and body-oriented integrative therapy.

How we begin
Write to us or call us
Tell us briefly what brings you to us, and we’ll help you choose the right therapist.
The first meeting
We get to know each other and talk about what you’re going through and what you’d like to change. You also get to see whether you feel safe with the therapist.
The work plan
Together we set the goals, the frequency of sessions (usually weekly) and the approach.
The process
We regularly revisit the goals to see what has changed and what still needs work.
Prices

Good to know
How long does psychotherapy last?
It depends on what you bring and on your goals. For specific difficulties, a few months may be enough; working with complex trauma or long-standing patterns usually takes longer. We discuss this openly along the way.
I’ve done therapy before and it didn’t work. Is it worth trying again?
Yes. Many people come to us after other therapy experiences. Sometimes the fit with the therapist was missing; other times the approach stayed at the level of symptoms. We look together at what helped and what was missing.
Can I do therapy online?
Yes. All our therapists work both in person and online, except Teodora Sârbu, who works exclusively online. Sessions can also be held in English with Lucian Leahu.
What happens to what I say in a session?
Everything you discuss remains confidential, in line with the psychologists’ code of ethics. The only exceptions are those provided by law, where there is a serious risk to you or to others.
Can I do therapy if I’m taking medication?
Yes. Psychotherapy can be done alongside medical treatment. If needed, we work together with your psychiatrist.
